Overview
Dr Monique Costin is a Consultant Endocrinologist with expertise in the management of all general endocrinology and diabetes. She has a particular interest in pituitary, thyroid and adrenal conditions. She is dedicated to the provision of high-quality evidence-based medical care. She is a regular attendee at local and international meetings, to ensure that she is up-to-date with the latest medical treatment developments.
Dr Costin graduated from Medicine at The University of Sydney in 2006 (with Honours). She primarily completed her specialist training at Royal North Shore Hospital and St Vincent's Hospital and was granted a fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2013.
She conducted fellowship research on pituitary and other hormonally-responsive tumours at The Garvan Institute of Medical Research and The Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism. She has been the recipient of research scholarships and grants, with her work presented both nationally and internationally.
She currently holds the position of VMO at North Shore Private Hospital and is a Clinical lecturer for both The University of Notre Dame and The University of Sydney. She is a regular participant in the Royal North Shore Hospital Thyroid cancer and Endocrine tumour Multidisciplinary Team meetings. She is an active member of the (US) Endocrine Society, the Endocrine Society of Australia and the Australian Diabetes Society.
